SuperToad Limited is a multi-service company in the music industry.  The company offers both music and video production services for independent artists.  Run by highly experienced producer, Ted Rubin, SuperToad runs on the mission to help artists get their music to sound the way they envision.  As Rubin says “I am always working with independent artists, either to release their music or guide them.  When you help an artist bring the sound they want for themselves to life, it’s like making someone brand new again.  It’s just a revitalization or energy and spirit that is infectious.”  SuperToad plans to open a fully equipped recording studio in Georgia later this year.  Rubin is also starting a publishing company for the artists he works with.
In addition SuperToad functions as a record label with two releases to it’s name currently.  Rubin is passionate about finding and introducing new bands to the public.  His first release was the ambitious Music That Won’t Swallow, a sprawling 44 song, double disc compilation spotlighting new talent in the punk and ska world.  Some notable artists that appeared on the compilation were Big D And The Kids Table, Mike Park, Kicked In The Head and The Wrens.  Speaking on the project Rubin commented “I was heavily into those music scenes and knew many of the artists involved, there were also new bands I came across and thought they were interesting.  Basically I wanted to create a compilation that I would want to listen to or make for my friends so they could be introduced to these artists as well.  It took two years to complete but I’m proud of the results.”
Spreading his musical horizon’s Rubin’s second release Hot Cakes was from Aychee whom he met while studying Liberal Science at SUNY Purchase.  Aychee composed of S.A.G. and Rusty Mack self-describe their music as “college crunk rap” and that’s a pretty accurate tag as their record is rife with synth dominated party jams about popular recreations that kids do and general mischief.
SuperToad is fully open to demo submissions and open to releasing any type of music that appeals to them.  Rubin comments “you never know where you can find a great band and I enjoy checking out new music constantly.”  SuperToad releases are on sale via CDBaby.com and SuperToad can be contacted @404-831-8510
